Worm Domination Enterprizes: Lead Asbestos Lead

I am conflicted. As a writer with a penchant for the crushing bass, the sharp social commentary, the abrasive guitars and spasmic percussion, this should be in, as the Anglish say, in mein Steurhaus.

But it isn't. I have looked everywhere without success.

I offer two factors for this. First there are few unforgivable sins in alternative music. One is the over-use of the megaphone. A band that uses a megaphone either has a vocalist that lacks ambition, or a song that lacks colour and needs a layer of nonsense,. It is like a lasagne with a cherry tomato perched on top. A pointless one. There are exceptions. Mark E Smith deployed it with some value. The Wonderstuff lurched into the use of a megaphone on Goodnight Though, and made it work by accident. This rule is proven by exceptions.

The second factor is virtually every song the band did apart from this one.  One cannot open a conversation with a explosive vowel and continue with a mumbled drawl.

So my wheelhouse is empty.

There are however grooves to delight and attitude to entice.
