Ah my friends and associates 9 o'clock Nasty are at it again.
I would like to tell you that I was unmoved by this song. It is the most direct and least odd song the band have released for a long time. It is dangerously close to daytime radio rock.
And yet... I listened.
A tight drumroll followed by three minutes of full-on attack. By the end I was begging it to stop but I had to play it again and again. It made me. There is a sickness at the heart of this song that pushes me to the edge. But it’s a catchy bastard. A trickster. Send help.
You see, a song can seem to be straightforward. It can seem understood. But this song cuts direction and switches back. It is not one chorus, it is three woven together over a single crushing beat.
Bravo.
